When I am at work, I can click on "Show unread posts since last visit" and see all threads with new posts (including both threads I have posted in and those I haven't). At home, that doesn't work. I click on that and get nothing. I can only click on the "Show new replies to your posts" and get something, but that's only ones I have posted in.

Anyone know what I did wrong? I would like to correct this.

Thanks!

I'm wondering... if you click on "show unread posts since last visit" and then don't read the posts during that visit, but leave instead, and then go home and click on it again, maybe it's because there aren't any unread posts since you last visited? Or do the unread posts keep turning up until you've read them, regardless of how many times you come and go?

I think once you view the list, they disappear until there are more new messages. I just find it hard to believe that since I am on now for the first time since Friday afternoon, that there are no new posts. I did see a couple of new posts since I last checked in on Friday. I think it's an option in my profile somehow. I changed one of the options, so I just have to wait and see if that's really it.

Oh, well, leave it to me to come up with something silly!

You can always find unread posts by looking at the color of the thingees to the left of the section names and the "new" at the end of topic names, too, of course.

If the unread posts page is empty, they are often in the new replies thread. You're not the only one who gets the empty page Beth. I get it too. As Kate says, if you want to see new posts check the little icon thingies on the index page.  Smiley
