I am going back and forth on two ideas.  I would love some input from those of you who did a book for this assignment.  I am waffling between a nonfiction picture book and creating a dummy and an early reader nonfiction and doing an outline.

Alice:  I did a book for assignment 10.  What type of input are you looking for?

Interesting.  What kind of a book did you do?  My thought is if I do a picture book it is a matter of writing the manuscript and having it critiqued.  If it is an outline for an early reader then it would be a back and forth again with my instructor correct?  I guess I am looking to make sure I understand the process of how to execute it properly.

If I remember correctly...if you do a picture book type for 10 you get to do 2 or 3 of them.  Basically get them ready to submit out.  If you do the book book, novel length, you do an outline, then the first 3 chapters and have them reviewed and critiqued and a basic story line review.  I guess for this option you need to decide what do you want to write the most?  Picture books or longer?

Hello all,

Thank you for your input everyone.  Can you really submit more than one picture book?  I can't find anything about that in the manual.

Just bumping this up to see if anyone has the answer to Alice's question. Unfortunately, I don't still have my basic course manual. So, if you choose to send in a picture book, do you send in one or more than one for assignment 10?

As far as I know, you can only do ONE thing for Assignment 10 -- one novel synops/chapters -- one chapter book synops/chapters -- one picture book manuscript -- one nonfiction article -- or one short story. But just one.
