I have just received my assignment one critique back and it talks about reading the 'Talk Abouts'... Where do I find those? Before I reread everything, perhaps someone knows where I will find these, specifically CONFLICT and CONTROL, and DIALOGUE. Are these in the course manual or in one of the many books I have received. Please help. Thanks

They're on the ICL website... http://www.institutechildrenslit.com/

Go to the Student Center (you'll need to log in with your student number) and there's a link in the lefthand column.  Cheesy

I received them by mail, with my course material or sometimes in a separate mailing.

Yeah, I did, too, Donna, but I think I remember Jan saying that they send people to the Student Center to download them now. Jan?

I think it depends on if your doing email submissions or regular mail submissions. If you're communicating with your instructor by regular mail the talk abouts should be included when they mail your lesson back to you. However, if you're sending your lessons by email, you'll need to go to the student center to download the talk abouts.

At least I think that's right. I did the first part of the course by regular mail and the talk abouts were always included. Now I'm doing it by email and I have to download them.

Hope that helps. Smiley

If a student DOESN'T have Internet access, they are still sent in print form. But normally you  go to
http://www.institutechildrenslit.com
Then click on "student center" in the lefthand list of links
Then it'll ask you to input your student number
After that you'll see tons of links...look over them. One says "Talk Abouts"
When you click that you'll have access to all the talk about articles.

I did my first lesson by regular mail but it had only included the letter and my critiqued story. So I will check on the website. Thanks everyone.
