I started my article for lesson 9. I wanted to guage where I stand, so I breezed through Best of the Children's Market to see what those articles looked like. Looks like I need to cut down my word count. When I submitted this as an outline for lesson 8, I estimated 800-1,000 words. Looks like I need to cut back. I knew I needed to re-work my opening. While I feel disappointed that I didn't do this earlier, I learned my lesson before submitting the assignment. So, back to my writing.  Grin

Tentative word count: 740. Not bad for the age group I am targeting. I like it. Now it's query-writing, article-revising, fun-having time!
