Here's a fun story idea. I'll start and you guys can add to it. I hope you all will post something. We can make this fun! So come on and post, post, post!

Flora The Flapper

Flora the flapper was quite dapper in her 1920's garb. Edward, her beau came calling for her each night around a quarter to nine. Flora swooned while Edward crooned at the local jazz club. They would twirl and whirl, skip and tap, dip and bend around the dance floor. He would sing the blues, toss his hat to his girl, Flora. She gave him a wink, blew a sweet kiss, for he made her weak in the knees. Her heart would melt each time Edward flashed her a big smile. His smooth moves and loving ways made her love him all the more.

Flappin' Flora and Dapper Ed plan to run away.  Their families caught wind of their tryst and sought to keep them apart.  So Dapper Ed told Flappin' Flora that he would meet her at midnight, down by the old waterwheel.  But when he got there, Flappin' Flora's filly had run away with her.  Dapper Ed jumped on his steed and set chase.
Before Dapper Ed had gotten far, he was met by Flora's king-size brothers.  They were carrying weapons for bodily harm.  They pounced upon his much smaller frame and tied him to a tree.  Next, they made a lot of noise to let him know how serious they were.  They did NOT want him seeing their sister, ever again.
Meanwhile, Flappin' Flora held fast to her filly's mane as the night winds swallowed her desperate cries and the darkness hid her whereabouts from any who might have been able to help.

     Nothing but a . . . . .

I was going out to meet myself, but had to stop because
Myself was coming back from there; I wasn't where I was.
