Ok, I like alliteration.  Now, for the good news......I just received my first paying acceptance, and first for a fiction piece.  I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!  I promised to let y'all know as soon as I heard.  Stories That Lift accepted "Assumptions." The amazing part is this is the submission that I thought I sunk because I misunderstood about submitting it in MS Word.  I sent them an email to clarify and they only need it in MS Word after they accept it.  I thought it was sunk.  Anyway, the editor sent me an email last night.  I don't know yet when etc.  but I had to share the good news.   Thanks for everyone's prayers and encouragement!

Congrats, Ellynn! Stories That Lift usually gets the stories up very quickly after they accept them. Usually they'll send you an e-mail saying the payment was sent and then in the next two days the stories are usually up. I've have two stories published with them and it was always quick. Congratulations again!

Congrats, ellynn! No, wait, I like conga rats better--provided they steer clear of my house, or their conga may turn into the funeral march instead.

So Stories That Lift responded in less than a month, huh? Fantastic! I guess they did feel as if they had hit the jackpot.  Smiley

By the way, I like alliteration, too, and I don't care what any editor thinks otherwise. Grin
