I emailed my lesson to my instructor last Tuesday night, and it was received on Wednesday.  I haven't heard anything back yet.  Should I call student services to check on it, or should I wait a little while longer?  I don't want to do much on the Assignment 6 till I get comments on Assignment 5.  It's never taken this long to get a response in the past.

Thanks!

It is normally around 10 or 11 days as their suggested return time for e-mail assignments. If you haven't heard in the next few days you should get hold of them. Smiley

Thanks, Chippy!  I will wait until early next week.

The piece probably reached your instructor on Wed and although we generally try to get our electronic student pieces done immediately, if we have a full plate, we are allowed up to a week to complete the student file and send it to the Institute. Then the Institute sends it on to you -- often within a few hours of the instructor sending it to the Institute. So, if you don't hear today (when it's been more than a week), I might drop the student center a note. It may not be outside the time frame when you might have to wait, but it would definitely be outside the time frame of when you probably have to wait.

And honestly, sometimes email just drops into limbo and doesn't get where it's supposed to go. It MAY have reached the Institute but didn't reach the instructor or may have been sent by the instructor but never reached the institute. So I vote in favor of not really waiting much beyond a week to hear back when you sent it early in the week like that. If it's in limbo, the sooner it's poked out of limbo, the better.

Thanks for the info, Jan.  I was wondering if the email got lost somewhere (it happens too often sometimes!).  I don't want to wait too long, but I don't want to seem pushy, either.

If it's been a full week plus one day, you're not being pushy...though it may come at some point during the "plus one day" -- but really, if your instructor is always really quick and it's been a week, my vote is probably limbo...either that or flu or some other unexpected nasty.
