Hi everyone, I'm new here,,maybe I should have started at that chat room  Wink I'm working on Assignment 2. I wrote out a very rough draft while I was waiting for my first assignment, thought I was on track and now I'm struggling with myself. My initial thought was a story based on my 3 year old's halloween this year,,it was so funny and so fun for him as it was his first time trick or treating. I thought there were some fun things that could maybe make a story. Now I'm struggling with what age range I want to use, I was thinking about making my main character a little older than 3, maybe 5ish. In my rough draft I wrote in 3rd person, but am wondering about making it first person as if he was telling the story... and finally, does that even sound interesting?  Before beginning this course it had been a long time since I had written much so I think I'm having confidence issues.
Just looking for ideas to get me going again,,I feel stuck and I dont want to start over from scratch with something new  Undecided  I did pretty good well on my first assignment and know I can do it again,,,just need to free my mind....hope this isnt silly. Just stuck...
Appreciate any thoughts and look forward to getting to know you all!

In a story for five year olds, it'll be an easier sell in third person (editors tend to shy away from first person with preschool - Kindergarten aged children. Keep it mind that it's going to have to be super short -- under 500 words for sure. Halloween is a fun setting for a story, just be sure you don't forget to have a plot.
