Excuse me, Peg. But, is this like a TV show or something?

It's a chat that takes place on Twitter.com on Tuesday's usually. The two moderators chose one or two topics that everyone can chat about. Tonight there were several editors on giving their imput on are crit groups a good idea and chatting about what they were looking for in manuscripts. I am learning a lot from them. Sometimes I offer an opinion. Other times I just listen.

I'll probably miss the next one as I'll be out of town. Greg Pincus and Bonnie Adamson are the moderators. They do post transcripts of each session on twitter for people who might miss the actual chat.

It is fast and fun. I miss pieces of it as it comes at the boys' bedtime but usually try to catch as much as I can.

I posted a blurb today about Bonnie Adamson as well as one of her illustrations on my blog at http://peg366.wordpress.com today, if you want to check it out.

I hope that helps.

Hi Peg,
I dropped in. Scheesh, I've never done twitter before. It seems to be like our chats but with pictures. I have to say this though... Everyone seemed to be talking, and I wondered if anyone was listening. Was I doing something wrong?

Zebra

Sonehow I missed this post. Sorry.

Yes, the #kidlitchat is fast paced. The good thing is that a lot of people are talking to each other. I've meet several people on there. The good thing is that you can read the transcripts that are usually posted the next day if the pace becomes too fast.I use tweetdeck when I join the dicussion.

Tweetdeck allows you to have one column that has all the #kidlitchat tweets in it. It makes it easier to see and read just those tweets that come from the discussion. When I first did the chat, I went back the next day and followed those people whose comments I particularly liked.
