This is one of the best book trailers I've seen. I couldn't agree more with sentiments this author expresses. I hope you give this book to every young child you know for Christmas. I plan to.
I don't personally know Lane Smith, but my hat goes off to him for a brilliant and charming story. My post cuts a bit off the right side of the trailer. To see the full view, it's here on YouTube.

Isn’t this just a hoot?!!

I should give this to my teenagers.
I think this will have to go on my facebook page. Yes, I understand the irony.
I agree just as much as you do! That is a great trailer – thanks for sharing!

Ha, Loved it!
(lol)
My husband thought it was stupid, but he’s not a writer – actually, he’s a computer tech
I’m the writer and I loved it!
It made my day!

Jane, Yvette, and Andrea–I knew there would be some kindred souls out there! As great as ereaders and ebooks can be–they will never replace a QUIET book you can hold in your hands and “get into.”

Hi Kristi,
I am a devoted fan of your blog and also a graduate of ICL. Thank you for all your wonderful posts – I look forward to them and frequently scour the archives for gems I’ve missed. When I saw the Lane Smith video, I thought maybe you’d like to see some of mine, so if you’re interested please visit

I have videos posted for 4 of my books, but you might especially like the newest one for Can’t Sleep Without Sheep.
Thanks again for all your helpful words!

Susanna, I LOVED your “Can’t Sleep Without Sheep” trailer!! That is so much like my granddaughter it was funny. And I haven’t heard Boots Randolph’s “Yakety Sax” in many moons–perfect accompaniment. I see that this is another “must have” book for my grandkids–including the baby due in two days!

Susan, I also loved your “Can’t Sleep Without Sheep” trailer! I can just imagine my grandkids saying, “Wead agin, Gamma.”
Love that “It’s a Book” trailer, too, Kristi. Thanks for adding another chuckle to my day.
Congrats on that precious little grandchild about to enter the world, Kristi. I hope all goes well for Mama and baby and family.

Trudy, thanks for the good wishes. It feels weird when it’s your “baby” having her first baby.
I am so blessed to live a ten-minute walk away from them. Counting the days–er, the hours!

Thanks Kristi and Trudy. Glad you enjoyed the trailer. I had fun making it! All best wishes for your expected grandchild – how absolutely wonderful! Enjoy every moment!

Susanna, you MADE that trailer? I would never have guessed! You could do that for a business! That was so professional looking. It must have taken forever!
Well done!
