website1I get quite a few questions about setting up a website (how to do it, when to do it, what to do with it once it’s launched.)

So here are three short articles from the National Writing for Children Center that will answer your questions about setting up a basic writer’s website.

  1. Thank you for this enlightening post. I do SO wish to have a professional website one day. For now, a blog will just have to do.

  2. Christie, when you’re reading, don’t be afraid to try designing your own. FrontPage has been real easy to use, for example. It doesn’t have to cost much of anything to have a website. Just FYI! 8-)

  3. I can’t wait to actually have something to put on a website. Publishing credits, for example. ;)

  4. Yvette, you’re right! Credits are one of the most fun things to add to a website. 8-) You’ll get there!

  5. Does FrontPage cost? I’ve used it before, but I can’t seem to be able to find a free version?

  6. Christie, I’m not aware of a free version of FrontPage. I know that when I bought it (2003) it didn’t cost much, and the tutorials online (free) were very easy to understand. Maybe others could post here what “brand” they use–and if they would recommend it.
